Business woes.
Starting a small business is no easy task. There’s so many questions about things I wasn’t taught about in school. Like, should I have a sole proprietorship or a partnership with my future hubby? Where can I get insurance and how much is it going to cost me and what should I do when we relocate? Will I have to redo all that paperwork with our new town? As a photography major, my professors focused more on the craft rather than what how we’re supposed to make money off of our new skills after graduation. There’s endless resources online but it’s almost too much information to sift through without getting confused. And reading up on tax laws is certainly no picnic. The one business class I took in college was interesting but didn’t offer much help to someone looking to start up a small home photography studio. I’m considering going back to take some more business classes or workshops. Hopefully all this work will be worth the effort in the future. I just keep thinking…I can’t wait to be my own boss!
